Rich Walker learnt to dive in 1991 with BSAC and has been an active member of the UK diving community ever since. He has experience in a wide range of environments, including wreck exploration in the UK and Norway, Florida and French cave systems, Australia and the Philippines. Organising diving expeditions to the lesser dived locations and introducing other divers to the wonders of these places is one of his passions.
Rich holds instructor certifications from a number of agencies, but today teaches solely for GUE. The GUE curriculum allows a strong connection to be made between diver training and practical diving, and this reflected in the competence and confidence that his students exhibit when undertaking their own diving.
He teaches GUE Recreational, Fundamentals and both Tech 1&2 classes in the UK and abroad and has made many friends around the world as a result of this work. He also organises diving trips around the world, open to any diver who has completed GUE training at the appropriate level.
