The underwater realm is under incredible pressure due to the actions of man. We hear almost daily about the effects of global warming on coral reefs, the decline of fish stocks due to poor management and the destruction of the marine environment by oil spills, dredging and pollution.

Divers are in a unique position to have seen first hand the beauty of the underwater world, and also to have seen the decline in this environment over the years. With this privilege comes a responsibility to protect that environment. The easiest way to begin this process is to document and communicate the damage that we observe.
GUE-UK has a number of projects within the UK that it hopes to develop into effective conservation efforts. Much of this is in the development stage, so watch this space for updates!
